Healthy Spook-Tacular Cookies

Serves :6                          Prep time: 8 minutes      Cooking time: 12 minutes   

Here’s a classic chocolate cookie recipe with chocolate chips that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. These cookies are rich, chewy and packed with chocolaty goodness!

Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ cup candy eyes and sprinkles

Decoration

  • Preheat oven to 175° Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy
  • Add the eggs, one at a time mixing well after each addition, stir in the vanilla
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt)
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix until combined, try not to overmix, stop when all the flour is mixed
  • Drop a dollop of cookie dough onto baking sheet, leaving some space between each
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, decorate the cookies with eyes made of candy  and smarties
  • Transfer onto a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, you’ll have a batch of delicious chocolate cookies ready to enjoy. These cookies are perfect for chocolate lovers and are great for sharing with friends and family. Enjoy!

 

Sausage Mummies
Serves :6           Prep time: 10 minutes            Cooking time : 10 minutes   

Ingredients
6 hot dogs
1 packet ready puff pastry sheets
12 sugar candy eyes
1 tbsp ketchup or mustard

  • Preheat the oven to 200 ° Celsius
  • Spread the puff pastry into a rectangle shape using flour
  • Cut the dough into long strips
  • Wrap the strips of dough around each hot dog to look like a bandage on a mummy. Make sure the dough crisscrosses and keep a space at the top for the eyes
  • Place the wrapped hot dogs on the baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the dough is golden brown
  • Remove from the oven, use the ketchup or mustard as glue to place the candy eyes on each hot dog
  • Leave to cool and serve

Spider Pizza
Serves: 4                  Prep time: 15 minutes          Cooking time: 15 minutes 

This spider pizza is so good that you’re going to make it again and again. It will be a very good option for your spooky parties too!

Ingredients

Ready Pizza dough (you can get it from a bakery)
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni
Black olives
Green olives
Roasted red peppers
½ cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 200 ° Celsius
  2.  Stretch the pizza dough rustic styple for a natural irregular shape using flour so it doesn’t stick. Then put in the pizza pan
  3. Spread the pizza sauce on top of the dough then sprinkle the cheese on top
  4. Cut the olives in half; use one half as the head of the spider and cut the other into strips for the legs
  5. Use the pepperoni to create the larger red spiders and cut the red peppers into strips to use as legs for the big red spiders
  6. You can let your kids help you decorate the spider pizza with you
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until sides are golden in color
  8. Serve immediately
