nspired by October this month, Khalded (11) and his brother Omar (10) Abdul Razeq join young chef Grace Agougbi as she shows them how to whip up a batch of Cookie Monsters.
Monster Cookies
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
½ cup butter, melted
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ cup cream cheese
1 egg
Food colouring (green, orange, purple)
Powdered sugar
Candy eyeballs
Directions
1. Beat butter, vanilla, egg and cream cheese until creamy
2. Mix in the cake mix
3. Divide the dough into three different chunks
4. Mix each piece of dough with one colour
5. Chill dough for 30 minutes
6. Roll into balls and dip in a bowl of powdered sugar
7. Bake at 175˚C for 10 to 12 minutes
8. While warm, push eyeballs into each cookie
