In the February issue of Family Flavours, we asked you to take part in our raffle draw competition by naming the first female Jordanian ambassador (Laurice Hlas). So this month we got to pamper the winner, Hala Halasa, and her mother Nadia, with a Mother’s Day out at Solace Skin Care Center!
‘Mama and me time’ is not always about bonding during the early years. Connecting with our loved ones is a continuous process which spills over into adulthood. Here are a couple of ideas on how to
spend quality mother-daughter time.
Hala invited her 69 year-old-mother Nadia Nasrawi for three hours of pampering at Solace Skin Care Center in order to relax and re-energise.
Teta Nadia has been teaching for over 30 years. She swims and walks often and makes sure that her four adult children, their spouses and her nine grandchildren share a family meal with teta and jido every Saturday.
Before she goes to work, Nadia picks up her grandson and drops him off to school, then heads across town to work.
As for a skin lifting treatment that works on fine lines and collagen stimulation, the Rejuve skin treatment was the best option for Nadia’s skin. Using a Rejuve Radio Frequency machines tighten the skin and countour the face.
Happy Feet & Butter Fingers
Winter attacks the skin on your face and hands. With Happy Feet & Butter Fingers, a treatment specific to Solace Skin Care, dry nails and skin are softened with heat treatment. Hala’s feet and hands are massaged with a deep hydrating mask, then covered with electrical booties and mittens which are left on for 15 minutes. The heat warms up the cream, allowing it to penetrate the skin.
Solace Skin Care Stretch Mark treatment
Sudden weight gain during pregnancy or puberty creates stretchmarks on thighs, the stomach or breasts. The skin’s collagen (the agent which makes skin elastic) breaks during this time and red and blue threads start appearing which eventually turn into white stretch marks. Even though they should be viewed as the medals of motherhood, many women become conscious of their bodies because of stretchmarks. However, if treated early on, you can improve the appearance and texture of your skin.
After six sessions every two weeks and the use of a glycolic acid cream, vitamin C and a deep hydrating cream, Hala saw significant results. The roll has micro needles which allow the acid to penetrate the skin, thus rebuilding collagen. So how does mama Hala feel after three hours of pampering? “Fresh and relaxed!”
And Teta Nadia? “Changed and happy!”
